CUE Suit Progress

 

     The Coalition of University Employees was one of three parties who filed a suit in April alleging that UC violated California Public Records law by refusing to disclose individual results of UC's investments in venture-capital funds. This is the Web site of Charles Schwartz, a retired UC professor who is also a party in the suit.

      As ordered by the court, UC has posted details of its investments, released minutes of closed Regents meetings on investments, and agreed in stipulation to pay plaintiffs' legal costs through September. A request limiting further use of closed Regents meetings has been denied. UC intends to file a further appeal.
